Fun and Pre-orders! @NatalieAnn121 #mgtab

As many of you know I entered Fierce-Brody into the Kindle Scout program last month. Although I got a lot of great and complimentary feedback, it wasn’t selected for a publishing contract. It is however, up for pre-order right now!!

A little over 3 years ago I published my first book. Road to Recovery. It was the start of a 4 book series, called the Road Series centered around the Mathews’ Clan. By the way it’s a permafree book so download a copy and check it out!

By time I got to the 4th book, Road to Reason, I started to love my supporting characters so much, that I formulated a spin off series called the All Series that would focus on the Harper Clan.

The best way to blend these two series was to have one Mathews and one Harper…fall in love. So in Road to Reason, playboy Ryan Mathews meets his match with Kaitlin Harper. Not only does she give him a run for his money, but he has to deal with her 3 older brothers! Fast forward 3 years and I decided to put together a novella on how the Mathews’ and the Harper’s actually met way back in the day…starting with their parents.

All for Love- Road to Romance is just 99 cents.

All for Love is in included in a new Sweet and Sassy Valentine boxed set that is available for pre-order on Amazon now. Just 99 cents! 12 authors! 12 stories of love and romance!

Also, Road to Redemption will be included in another boxed set called A Valentine She’ll Remember that is available for pre-order too. Just 99 cents!

Valentine Collection

It still amazes me that in 3 years’ time I’ve published 3 series, totaling 16 books. And I’ve got 2 other series that will be published in 2018.

So that old saying of ‘time flies when you’re having fun’ can definitely ring true for me. Because right now, I’m having a blast! Bring on 2018!

2018 Goals & Plans

Happy New Year!

I’m not one for making New Year resolutions. I’d rather have goals. And those goals end up on lists because those that know me know that when I make a list, I tend to stick to it. Nothing feels better than putting a big thick line through a completed task. I’m a bit nerdy that way.

I’ve got two sets of goals. Writing and personal goals.

We’ll start with the writing goals (and some of these are actually plans in motion):

January- The release of All for Love- Road to Romance. This is the prequel to the All Series and blends in with the Road Series and how it all started so many years ago.

February – I’m in two boxed sets. Sweet and Sassy Valentine, which will also feature All for Love and A Valentine She’ll Remember which will feature Road to Redemption.

Once Fierce-Brody is done with the Kindle Scout nomination time frame (Jan 16th) then I’ve got to wait 2 more weeks while they decide if I get a writing contract. If not, that book will be published in February. But you can still vote for me here if you haven’t yet.

March- Last Chance will be released. I’ll be putting that up for pre-order in a few weeks. Stay tuned!

April – No releases that I’m aware of but I’ll be writing away.

May- I plan on releasing Fierce – Aiden, the second in the Fierce Five Series

June – I’ll be part of a boxed set called Sweet and Sassy Weddings and it will feature a new novella called Finding Love. I’ll also be releasing Finding Love on it’s own this month.

And the exciting news. Once I release the first of the Love Collection (Most likely Finding Love in June) I’ll be releasing a new novella each month for 12 months! That’s right. 12 months… in a row. New stories. A collection rather than a series.

In between those novellas, I’ll be working on the Fierce Five Series and another novel from the Lake Placid Series. Don’t hold me to those dates yet, but I’ve got them kind of planned for Summer/Fall/Winter.

That’s a lot of writing, but I’m up for the challenge and I’ve got it all down in a calendar. With any luck, I’ll stay focused and on track.

Personal Goals:

You’d think I’d have a more detailed list of personal goals, but the truth is, mine are pretty simple.

  1. Spend more quality time with my family.
  2. Don’t sweat the small stuff – I’m good with this, most of the time, but I need a reminder a time or two.
  3. Stay physically active and healthy. I just need to get back on track now that the holidays are over. To me, good physically health leads to good mental health. I need all the good mental health I can get.
  4. Leave the house more than 1-2 times a week. I just started working from home, and found it’s easy to get in a lazy habit of not leaving the house and looking like I just rolled out of bed. This might play in with good mental health, I’m thinking ha.
  5. Enjoy my life more. I’m healthy right now and haven’t always been. That means I should take advantage of the good times and enjoy them to the fullest.

There, 5 goals, because I tend to be OCD and when I do a numbered list they have to end with a 0 or 5.

So how about you? Any goals or plans for 2018?

Merry Christmas

Kindle Scout Submission!

Brody_2

I started a new series called The Fierce Five. I thought it’d be the perfect book to submit to the Kindle Scout Program in hopes of a publishing contract. It was accepted and I could sure use your votes. Plus you can read the first few chapters!

If you nominate me and I get a publishing contract, then Kindle Scout will send you a free ecopy of the book when it’s published too! Awesome huh?

What is The Fierce Five about?

Five Siblings. One business. Meddling parents. A fiercely addicting series!

Fierce-Brody is the first in a five book series—The Fierce Five Series. It’s all about a set of quintuplets with their own specialty to help run the family business. Their parents handed the reins over to them at just twenty-five years old. Five years later, all five are still single and their mother has had enough. She wants grandkids, and she wants them now! So she’s decided it’s time to interfere…right under their noses. Hit them hard and where they least expect it. Not one of them has a clue and she plans on keeping it that way.

There will be some ups and downs, laughter and tears, and plenty of bruised egos, but family loyalty will be the glue that holds them all together.

Be one of the first to see where it all starts with Brody!

Vote for me here! And read the first few chapters.

Something New

The book market is hard. Have you heard that before? Well it is! So to keep up, you need to jump on some bandwagons.

First let me preference this by saying that I will continue writing like I always do. The Lake Placid Series will go on. Matter of fact, I just finished the draft of the fifth book in that series and plan on starting the sixth in a few weeks.

Now back to my ‘something new’ post. I’ve never been much of a follower, I’ve always preferred to do my own thing and see how it goes. In the last two years, my thing has done pretty darn good. But now, well now, people want vampires and bad boy billionaires, step brothers and kinky things that make me blush thinking of, let alone trying to write. They want sexy naked guys on covers, or women in compromising positions.

Where does that leave me?

I’m trying my hand at a new series. Something a little bit different. Not major, but a teeny weenie change just the same. I’m going to brand my covers with some more ‘edge’ for this series. Maybe throw a sexy guy on the cover if one catches my eye. I tried to write a big bad tough hero that would make you think ‘jerk’ then love him later. But I seem to struggle with making my leads be too much of a jerk, so as much as I tried, he’s just not an ‘ass’. There are some toolbag, jackass moments, but nothing to make you blush or want to take a swing at the fellow.

These books will be shorter. Most of my books are 80-90K words. But this series is going to be somewhere between 65-70K words. Not short stories, but not completely drawn out either. More fast paced, maybe.

I’m even considering entering this first book into the Kindle Scout program. I’ll blog on that another time once I make up my mind.

Do you want to know what this series is about? Sure you do, because you’re loyal followers.

It’s called the Fierce Five Series. Sounds nice and strong, huh?

There’s Brody, Aiden, Mason, Cade and Ella. They’re thirty-year old quintuplets now running the family business. Jolene and Gavin Fierce (their parents) wanted to retire. What goes hand in hand with retirement? Grandkids! And what better way for that to happen than for Mama to set them all up… unbeknownst to them, of course.

So while this is a little curve in the road from my normal stories, it’s not all that much of a different trip. It’s still a happy ever after love story, but it’s going to be a bit sexier, a bit funner (yeah it’s a word and my husband says it all the time, so I had to use it just now), and a bit more head-butting between the leads.

The first book is Brody and he met his match with Aimee. And that’s all I’m going to tell you for now.

Keep your eyes open for more posts. I’m also going to try to do some more blogging. I know, promises, promises.
