Plugging Away

Sorry I’ve been MIA lately, but I’ve been busy. Good news, right?

There are a lot of things happening. First, I’m going to get my first newsletter out this month. Woohoo! If you haven’t signed up to receive it yet, just click here.

Second, All The Way will be coming soon too! I’m going to be setting it up for pre-order within a week, fingers crossed. I’m just waiting to get some timelines worked out in my head. It’s currently at the editor’s for round two. Once I get it back, it will be off to the proofreader, then to the ARC Readers.

Speaking of ARC Readers…would you like to be one? I’ve got a handful right now and if you’d like to be considered for All The Way, please check out this post to see what it entails.Or you can contact me personally (my information is under the contact me tab) OR you can sign up for my newsletter and check off that you want to be an ARC Reader and I’ll contact you with more information. Easy right?

Third, my fourth book in the All Series, All I Want will be heading to the editor’s in the beginning of December to start the first of two rounds of editing. I’m looking at a March 2016 release date. There will be more information on that book coming soon, I promise!! At the very least a cover reveal in December!

And last, or fourth if you’ve been counting, I’m about a third of the way through my manuscript of All My Love—the fifth book in the All Series. That will be a summer release. I love this series so much, and I know I’m going to be sad when it ends. Thankfully I have one more book to go before I change gears for a totally new series with a new band of characters!

As always, if you would like to find out how to receive free books, just read this post. And of course, you know I love to hear from you and read your feedback/reviews, so please take a moment and leave one!

All Series

The All Series consists of six books. Below are the titles and characters in order of the series.

All of my books can be purchased on Amazon.

These books can be read as a stand alone, but are more fun read as a series.

All Or Nothing – Ben Harper and Presley James

All or Nothing_2

All Of Me – Phil Harper and Sophia Mansfield

All of Me

All The Way – Alec Harper and Brynn Palmer

All the Way

All I Want – Sean Callahan and Carly Springfield

All I Want(2)

All My Love – Drew Palmer and Jordyn Montgomery

All My Love(1)

All About You – Finn Abraham and Olivia Hartman

All about You(1)

All The Way

All the Way

As a child working alongside her father’s knee, Brynn Palmer had dreams of overseeing her own construction site. Being a woman in a man’s world didn’t bother her. She had it covered and was making it work. Until she realized it really wasn’t working at all. Then one night all her dreams came crashing around her.

Alec Harper took one look at Brynn Palmer and knew she was the one for Harper Construction, and the one for him. For years he had watched all his siblings and friends tumble like dominoes into love. All the while he sat back waiting and wondering when his turn would come.

But now that he found her, could he convince her to roll the dice and give him a chance?

The Road Series

Now that I’ve got two series published, I thought I’d do a post with all the titles and characters in one place.

My first series consisted of four books that can be purchased on Amazon.

These books can be read as a stand alone, but are more fun read as a series.

Book One

Road To Recovery – Lucas Mathews and Brooke Malone

Book Two

Road To Redemption – Jack Reynolds and Cori Summers

Book Three

Road to Reality – Mac Malone and Beth Campbell

Book Four

Road To Reason – Ryan Mathews and Kaitlyn Harper

Out of this series comes another series, the All Series. In Road to Reality you meet a few of the Harper brothers. Their sister Kaitlin is the heroine in Road to Reason. I loved the Harper brothers so much I had to give them their own series, along with a few of their friends.

It’s Your Love…All The Way

In keeping with my music theme while writing the All Series, I’m going to let you in on the song that I listened to over and over again while writing All The Way, the 3rd book in the All Series.

For All or Nothing, I listened to this song.

For All of Me, I listened to this song.

Drum roll please… As promised I wasn’t going to list another song with the same title as my book, which was just a coincidence anyway.

For All The Way, I listened to “It’s Your Love” by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. It’s so Alec! Enjoy!

If you’d like to be an ARC reader for this book, or any of my future books, check this post out for details. And don’t forget about my mailing list, please join!

Character Flaws…

I’ve received the most comments about Cori Summers, the heroine in Road to Redemption.

Cori has been one of my favorite characters to write. She is someone who you either love, or annoys the heck out of you. I get that and wrote her exactly that way. She is all about happiness, almost pesky-like, annoyingly so. And when people tell me she sort of gets on their nerves with her energy and enthusiasm in life, then I know I wrote her well!

I wanted her to be like that. She’s a sweetheart underneath all that hyper activity. She has a heart of gold—or maybe it’s made out of chocolate and caffeine. She is the complete opposite of Brooke in Road to Recovery, which helps bring Brooke out of her shell. And she is exactly what Jack needs in his life. In another words, she is his perfect match.

So you see, even though some people thought Cori had a few character flaws, there were just as many who thought she was a riot and bought the second book just to read her story.

To this day, I still love writing her. She makes an appearance in all the books going forward, but just brief glimpses. Of all my characters, she is the one I see the strongest in my mind and find writing about the most enjoyable.

One word to describe Cori…FUN. She is all about fun. To read, and to write.

As always, if you’d like to be considered as an ARC Reader, check out this post for the requirements.

Flying…

Flying…that is how I feel right now. I’m just flying through the All Series. It’s so much fun, the characters are a riot and engaging and I feel transported into their world. What could be better than that?

All Of Me is on Pre-order and scheduled to be published on September 15, 2015. All The Way is heading to the editor on October 1, 2015 for the first round of editing. My tentative publication date is mid December 2015.

I hope (am pretty positive) the rough draft of All I Want will be finished in less than two weeks! You will meet the hero of that story in All Of Me.

Next on the docket is All My Love and finally All About You. I’m still not ready to release who those characters are going to be, so stay tuned for hints!

As always, if you’d like to be considered as an ARC Reader, check out this post for the requirements.

Excerpt from All of Me….

All of Me is out for pre-order right now on Amazon.

Here is an excerpt from the chapter Believed Him.

“Do you want some help planting your flowers?” he asked her after they both had eaten their fill and the leftovers were wrapped up. Pepperoni for him to take home, mushroom for her left in the fridge.

“I guess I could use some help,” she said coyly.

“So I’m making it past the second chance date?” He fought back his laugh when she choked on her wine. Sometimes knowing each other so well might not be the best thing, at least in her eyes.

When she was done coughing, she said, “I guess so.”

He knew all about her second chance dates. She had a rule that every person deserved a second chance. He never knew why, and never really asked. But plenty of instances she would tell him about the horrendous first dates she went on and then told him she would schedule a second one.

It made no sense to him at all. Really, the only thing he thought of at the time she brought them up was that he was glad he wasn’t on the dating scene. The thought of the things she encountered would be enough to make him go into seclusion.

“I can work around your schedule,” he offered.

“That’s nice, but I’m pretty swamped this week still. They’re getting plenty of light in the mudroom, and I’ll keep them watered. I’m thinking sometime this weekend. I’m flexible if you have plans.”

“I can be available for whenever you want me.” He didn’t miss the dilation of her eyes at that statement, the double meaning reaching her.

She nodded her head, then placed her empty glass of wine on the table. Her second and last one, she’d said earlier. And here it comes, he thought. “We need to figure out where we go from here,” she said, looking in his eyes and holding his stare.

“Do you need it in writing?” he asked, trying to make light of the situation. It wasn’t funny to him, but he didn’t see the need to plan it all out either.

“Of course not.” She smiled back at him. “I guess I need some guidelines. We keep talking about the way we were before, and about moving forward. What are we? Friends, dating, something in between?”

“We will always be friends. I think it’s more than dating. It’s way beyond that for me, at least. It always was, if you want to be honest. I asked you before what you wanted from someone out of a relationship. I understand not wanting to lay it all on the table, but I need to ask if you even want to be in a relationship right now?”

He watched her eyes wander over his face. Then she reached up and placed her hand on his cheek, gave him a soft caress, then dropped her hand away. That action, the softness in her, all those things he longed to see directed toward him filled him with emotions deeper than he thought possible. “I want to be in one, yes. But I don’t want to lose your friendship. You mean a lot to me. Your whole family does. I’m unsure of where to go, or how to handle this if something goes wrong.”

Those thoughts had crossed his mind also, but then he brushed them aside. He wasn’t looking for something to go wrong, not when he had been waiting for this for what seemed like forever. He refused to even consider the possibility of it.

It wasn’t the time to say that, not yet anyway. “You will never lose my friendship. Or my family. There is no worry there. Whatever happens to us, I will always be there for you, Sophia. I can promise you that.”

Her eyes watered and a gentle expression crossed her face. “Thank you for that. Your family means the world to me. You know enough about my family life to know I’ve never had anything stable before. I don’t want to risk losing the one stable family in my life.”

“You won’t.” He pulled her off her barstool until she was standing between his legs and held her close, his arms wrapped tightly around her, trying to reassure her.

A moment later she sat back down. “I’ll make the same promise to you.” She picked up her napkin and blotted her eyes, then laughed. “Great, you’ve seen me cry on only our second date. That’s a wonderful impression.”

He chuckled. “We aren’t dating,” he reminded her. “I’ve seen you do more than cry.”

There was no way to miss the shiver that ran through her body with that statement. “So you have.”

What is going to be on my newsletter? Well, I’ll tell you! I’ll be sending out information on release dates and when books will be available for pre-order. Not to mention if I’m having a sale on the price of books! Everyone loves a bargain, right? I know I do.

Expanding the Series…

Just a quick little update to keep everyone informed.

All Of Me will be released soon!!! I just shipped it off to the proofreader this morning, and my goal is to have it published around the first of September. If you would like an ARC prior to the release in exchange for an honest review on Amazon, please contact me.

In the mean time, All The Way is set to go to the editor’s on October 1st for the first round of editing. My goal there is to have it released early to mid December. So stay tuned for more information on Alec’s story.

While all of that is going on, I’m about a quarter of the way through All I Want. This is the story of Sean Callahan and Carly Springfield. Sean is introduced in All Of Me. Carly will make her first appearance in All The Way.

The remaining characters for the final two books of the series will remain a secret for now. You’ll find out more about them in Alec’s story, All The Way, in December.  But guess what? I’ll tell you the titles just as a teaser. All My Love, and All About You.

Stay tuned!!
